Cultural Audit

Picture
How can I use a Cultural Audit of my organisation?

Every organisation has a culture but most people, including the senior staff, have little handle on how to shape and design the culture to fit with their business plans and create their future. Many think of culture as being too intangible a term that somehow sums up 'the way we do things around here.' Cultural audits will highlight the strengths and weaknesses inherent within the business, and identify the key drivers that can be developed to shape the culture as required in the short and medium term. Too many believe that culture change only comes about in the longer time period, but skilful development of the strengths of the business can lead to significant improvement in a very tight time frame.

Benefits of a Cultural Audit

  • Assess what requires rapid adjustment to make your business work
  • Evaluate what leads to sub optimal or poor performance in people and processes
  • Identify cultural weaknesses and develop plans for improving performance
  • Establish causal links between culture and business results
  • Develop strategies to enthuse and engage 100% of the abilities of your people
  • Harness the power of the engine of the organisation and ramp it up a gear or two
  • Forge a link between effort and performance in teams
  • Establish ways to make cross functional processes more effective in achieving your goals
  • Get rid of petty bureuacracy that is slowing down the rate at which change can be implemented
  • Focus on improving Leadership behaviour in anyone who manages people or processes
