'Be the Change' Workshops

"The public sector is facing its most challenging financial position since devolution, with fundamental change required to achieve efficiency savings and reduce expenditure."

PDF Outline››

Scott-Moncrieff and Philip Atkinson are working together to provide a one day workshop on change management in the public and third sectors (8 September, Edinburgh & 6 October Glasgow).

This workshop will look at what key decision makers in public bodies must do to take a more fundamental approach to identifying their priorities, improving the productivity of services they deliver, and increasing collaboration and joint working.

Public bodies must identify solutions that respond to this by changing service structures and service delivery and seize the opportunity to transform and build a sustainable public sector.

Directors and heads of service are responsible for identifying and delivering these changes. Coupled with this, is an increasing pressure to master and drive the process of change, rather than rely on external consultants. Consequently, key managers need to know how to deliver the required change.

We have designed some very popular development workshops along the themes outlined below and be running these under the auspices and at the Edinburgh offices of Scott Moncrieff, the public, third and private sector accountants.  I am working in Partnership with Robert Mackenzie (partner) and James Thomson (audit manager) on a number of projects which are focused on integrating and implementing structural, business and organisational change strategies.

Currently we have developed TWO Workshops that we believe support and enable our clients and customers to meet the required organisational changes within a period of restraint, a search for value for money. We are offering these sessions on 23 August and 7 September 2011.

We are sure that our multi-disciplinary offerings and services will add value and help organisations of any size and sector implement change quickly, hastening better service delivery to their clients, consumers and stakeholders.

Managing Change: Create the Acceptance of Change as an Internal Consultant

Change is the only constant.....

"As the demands of the marketplace require organisations to change, there is an increasing pressure on managers to master and drive the process of change through using best practice in terms of managing the transition. The core problem for change makers is that not everyone embraces change as the norm - many resist for very good reasons. This workshop concentrates upon handling objections with perceived 'resistance' and developing strategies to smooth the transition for change. Fundamentally, the workshop is a powerful event for helping all within the change arena to move towards developing a climate of openness and trust and replacing resistance with acceptance"

During this highly participative Workshop, Philip will take participants through 'best practice' in change mastery, case studies, models of how change can be measured and mastered.

"Personal Influence & Business Development Strategies"

"Selling Magically"

"Personal success is ultimately created when you develop influencing strategies to present your ideas and proposals to best effect, and influence your clients, customers and audience on both the conscious and unconscious levels"

This Workshop focuses upon the core strategies that you can use to influence in 'one on one' situations and in small client or customer groups. Working through and focusing upon key objections even before you sit down with those you need to persuade, is fundamental to success. These skills are equally applicable in the context of selling, customer service, negotiating, training and selling the notion of the need to change. The rewards that go with management often focus upon the ability to drive, sell and persuade others of the need to improve. During this highly interactive Workshop, Philip will take participants through some of the most effective approaches applied in the art of persuasion.
