Philip Atkinson was pleased to present his ideas on how to become a a change maker at the CIPD workshop at Kents Hill in Milton Keynes on Tuesday 25 November 2008.

He talked through the importance of driving change from the change agent perspective and the key actors in the process working together seamlessly together.

Philip was supported by a colleague Barrie Roberts for his help in redesigning the PowerPoint presentation behind the CIPD ‘,Become a Change Master' workshop.

The Change Arena

He identified the key actors as the change agent, the sponsor, the core stakeholders and the 'targets' (the defined popoulation) for change.  He covered the importance of dealing with expectations and laying our the relationships between the actors as being fundamental to success.

Personality Types: Conflict in Managing Change between the key Actors

Using a varient of Jungian Type analysis he applied personality typing to assess one's personal style and the degree to which personality differences can hinder the smooth transition for change.
