Carbon Culture Change & the film - "the Age of Stupid"

I am extremely lucky to be one of 40 guests as the Edinburgh screening of the 'Age of Stupid'.  The DVD is available in late summer 2009 and is a big attraction for anyone who has an interest in the future of the planet,

The screening is hosted by Maximillion Events Ltd, Scotland’s creative event management, team building & communications agency.  It is due to take place on 2 June at the Scotsman Hotel in Edinburgh.

Climate Change & Changing the Carbon Culture

"The Age of Stupid" is a provocative climate change docudrama set in a post-apocalyptic world of 2055 where a surviving archivist (Peter Postlethwaite) looks back to 2007 and asks how we were stupid enough to let global warming destroy our planet. The invited guests will then discuss climate change and its impact on the Scottish hospitality and tourism industry.

Scottish Government & the Climate Change Bill

The Scottish Government plans to introduce a draft Climate Change Bill to Parliament, which will set a mandatory target to cut greenhouse gas emissions in Scotland by 80% by 2050, leading the way in climate legislation in the world.

Myself and Richard Brown have formed Carbon Culture Change for Business to help businesses through facilitated events to make changes required to fulfil the likely requirements of moving away from a carbon based economy, and reducing carbon emissions by 80%, by 2050.

Cost Savings & Business Improvement

If you are thinking this is just about being green think again.  Businesses needlessly waste energy and in these tough times we can support businesses in ensuring that they actually save money as well as being great ambassadors for best practise.

Customer Focused & Corporate Social Responsibility

Some organisations still think it is not important to reflect public opinion.  Today's customers and consumers are authentic and will only support businesses if they feel they have a degree of integrity as well as corporate social responsibility.

Look at the outcry at MP's expenses.  Consumers want companies and organisations to adhere to the spirit of the potential law.

Organisations that fail to address the 'climate change' issues let down their staff, their stakeholders and the wider public.  It is not okay to dump waste.  neither is it okay to ignore improvements to energy expenditure and to look for new ways to both improve performance in an ecological manner.

Age of stupid: Consulting & Training Events

We have anticipated the forthcoming  legislation and  have developed facilitated events and processes to get companies and not for profit organisations to stage events which improve internal efficiencies, promote better consumer and public relations and at the same time establish best practise in changing from the 'carbon culture' to one which is economically viable and socially responsible.
